Welcome to The Very Rich Hours, a series of sunset paintings I began in June 1995, and including every sunset since January 1, 2006. Along with two years (2006–2007) of consecutive daily sunrise paintings, the number of works in the collection exceeds 5,000.

Most of these sunsets were observed from the same place, facing the Blue Ridge, in an area known as Stony Point, north of Charlottesville, Virginia.
